Water Quality Testing Results Presented
in Student Summit

The 20th annual Student Watershed Watch concluded with a Student Summit on Friday, November 20 at the University of Toledo. Lou Hebert from WNWO NBC24 was the host. Middle school and high school students from schools throughout the Maumee River watershed presented desktop displays and group presentations of their findings. After two decades of the annual project, some schools have impressive historical documents that track changes in water temperature, dissolved oxygen, amounts of phosphorus and nitrates (fertilizers), and other markers of water quality over 20 years. Sponsors for the Student Watershed Watch are City of Toledo, First Solar, BP, and Perstorp. Also providing support is Earth Force.
