Seiche Effect in Maumee River and Lake Erie
Strong winds in September provided a demonstration of the seiche effect on the Maumee River and Maumee Bay. The seiche is sometimes called a storm surge. Applications for Clean Diesel Projects
The EPA is now accepting applications for projects that will reduce diesel emissions. The applications are due December 8, 2009. The EPA expects that 10-20 projects worth between $250,000 and $1.5 million will be funded in the Region 5 area (Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.)...more
