2009 Ohio Conference on Freight Stimulates Discussion

Partnerships. Integrating transportation modes. Assured funding. These were the common themes generated at the 2009 Ohio Conference on Freight held in Toledo in September. A complete report will be sent to the Big Picture mailing list soon.

The conference, held September 22 and 23 at the Dana Conference Center in Toledo, brought together freight professionals from Ohio, Canada, and more than a dozen states, as well as people with a national perspective. State and federal transportation agency administrators, trade industry advocates, builders, engineers, university researchers and others focusing on freight transportation and the logistics of moving goods were part of the 2-day event.
