Updated Traffic Flow Map Now Available
A multi-page map showing traffic counts and volume has recently been updated and is available online. The new traffic flow map has counts up to date through June, 2009 and includes many state and local routes. It covers Lucas and Wood County and southern Monroe County townships. Users can access separate map pages for the interstate system and ramps which include traffic counts provided by ODOT. New this year are maps focusing on the following cities/areas: Sylvania city and township; Oregon; Whitehouse and Waterville; Maumee and Perrysburg; northern Wood County (Rossford, Northwood, Walbridge); Holland and Springfield Township; and Bowling Green.
The traffic flow map is maintained by TMACOG and includes data obtained by TMACOG and other jurisdictions in the area that do their own traffic metering. The data is useful for traffic engineers planning new traffic control features (stop lights, roundabouts, or turn lanes), for advertisers, realtors, public transit operators, and for business people planning retail shopping and parking.
You can access the website via the TMACOG Transportation page at http://www.tmacog.org/Transportation/traffic_flow.htm. Click on the Traffic Flow Maps link at the top of the page. There are no printed copies of the map available although you can print pages from the website. Select larger paper (11 x 17) for better legibility.
