Clean Ohio Fund Recommendations
for Lucas County

At a meeting December 14, the Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) scored and ranked 15 applications for projects that would preserve open space in Lucas County. Eight projects fell within the budget of $1.35 million and have been recommended for funding by the Clean Ohio Fund .....more

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) monitors erosion on the shoreline of Lake Erie and its tributaries. A public meeting is scheduled for February 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at One Government Center to review new draft maps which show projected erosion in our region ....more

Update on Federal Stimulus Funds in Transportation
Fifteen projects using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding were selected to receive funding from the TMACOG allocation. All 15 have been submitted to ODOT for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approval and are on schedule to meet the March 1, 2010 FHWA approval deadline. As of December 14, $8,8815,417 has either been requested or authorized for Federal Highway Administration approval.

Input Sought on Freight Rail Future
There has been a lot of activity this year involving passenger rail. But passenger trains will share rails with freight trains and the two systems need to be coordinated ...more
