Water and Sewer Rate Setting – February 17

TMACOG and the Great Lakes Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) have organized the training. This TMACOG Tech session is sponsored by Jones & Henry Engineers, Ltd. The program will take place Friday, February 17, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Owens Community College Fire Science/Law Enforcement Center.
See the full agenda here. The cost is $10 which includes breakfast, lunch, and take-home training materials. Attendees will earn OEPA “contact hours” and continuing professional education credits are available for professional engineers.
This workshop is recommended for all of those responsible for civic assets: mayors, council members, members of boards of public utilities, and any personnel responsible for managing water or sewerage systems. Topics covered will include budgeting, setting rates, and asset management. Management of water systems includes estimating replacement costs, prioritizing repairs and improvements, and using software and other resources.
