Ready to Roll! Ohio Conference on Freight

The deadline for registration for the 2012 Ohio Conference on Freight is Friday, September 7. Click here to register now. The featured speakers for this year’s conference cover key issues in the freight industry. Bruce McCain , chief investment strategist, Key Private Bank provides an economic overview. Steve Tripp , head of worldwide vehicle transportation, Chrysler, LLC, will share automotive perspectives on the global supply chain, Marc Levinson, writer and economist, looks at freight movement as the world economy shifts, Caroline Xavier, director general with Canada’s Border Services Agency, and Ana B. Hinojosa, lead executive Border Initiatives, will offer details about the U.S.-Canada – Beyond the Border Initiative, and Sharon Neely, chief deputy executive director of the Southern California Association of Governments, will provide an overview of the new federal transportation bill. Neely’s territory includes the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports.

In 2012 the focus is on the role of freight transportation in the global economy. The import/export trade is one bright spot in the economy and it’s led by manufacturing, especially in Ohio and the Great Lakes region. Manufacturing depends upon an efficient and resourceful freight and logistics industry.

The conference attracts decision makers in all modes, manufacturers and distributors, elected officials, urban planners and engineers, and financial, legal, and insurance professionals with freight-related clientele.
