Public Meetings - State and Regional TIP
As ODOT develops its four-year Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and TMACOG develops the northwest Ohio portion of the program (TIP), the public is encouraged to attend and participate in one of two local public meetings.
The STIP and the regional TIP provide project funding and scheduling information for federally obligated projects at ODOT, TMACOG, and TARTA. TMACOG is responsible for planning in Lucas and Wood counties. Both the statewide and the regional capital improvement programs will be part of the open house public meetings.
• April 11, 3-6 p.m., at ODOT District Two offices in Bowling Green, 317 E. Poe Rd.
• April 17, 3-6 p.m., at TMACOG offices, 300 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive
The open houses allow the public to review and make comments on future transportation projects moving people and goods in Ohio. In Lucas and Wood counties, the TIP includes 171 projects with a total construction cost of nearly $875 million.
The public comment period is April 4 through April 19, 2013. Comments can be submitted at the meetings, to TMACOG by mail (PO Box 9508, Toledo, OH 43697-9508), by phone (419.241.9155 ext. 125), or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. The public review draft of the 2014-2017 TIP can be reviewed at the TMACOG office, at http://tmacog.org/Transportation/TIP/TIP_Draft.pdf, and at the public meetings.
