TMACOG Tech: Who’s On First?
Defining Roles in Economic Development Efforts
Friday, May 31, 8 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. in the Grand Lobby of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, 300 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.
Attend this half-day seminar to learn how the many groups working to improve the regional economy in Ohio can best work together. A session specifically addressing Michigan concerns is in development. A panel of economic development professionals representing state agencies and smaller communities will describe how they work and how local governments can best support development efforts.
Early sessions will look at the basics of economic development: what it is and what it is not, and how JobsOhio works in the northwest Ohio region. After a break, business development professionals will talk about how to prepare for opportunity, and we’ll look at case studies in retention and in new business solicitation. Edward Burghard, CEO of the Burghard Group, will be the keynote speaker at a lunch presentation.
There is a $25 fee for this seminar. Registration is through the Ohio Economic Development Authority here.
