TMACOG Tech: Open Doors, Open Minds: Beyond Accessible Design
Friday, May 9, 8 a.m. – noon in the Grand Lobby of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza
There are regulations that help make public spaces accessible to people using wheelchairs and to people with limited vision. But beyond laws and ordinances, designers have learned new strategies that make our public buildings, parks, and streets welcoming to all residents. This program will give elected officials, engineers, and planners a new perspective. Registration fee for members and non-members is $35. Register online here.
Open Doors Open Minds was prepared in cooperation with The Ability Center of Greater Toledo, the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, The Sight Center, Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA), Toledo Community Foundation, and TMACOG.
