Gas Cap Testing and Replacement Program

Does your check engine light come on now and then? You may have a poorly fitting gas cap that is wasting gas and contributing to ozone pollution. Stop in to one of the testing locations in July and August to have it checked. Interns from the City of Toledo will vacuum check your gas cap and if it’s leaking they will replace it free on the spot.

The program is for passenger vehicles including cars, vans, RVs, and light trucks. A leaking gas cap can cost up to two tanks of gas per year.
