Conference on Freight -
Registration is Now Open

September 14-16, 2015
Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza

The 2015 Conference on Freight in Cincinnati will be a new collaboration bringing a broad range of expertise to the theme: Breaking Boundaries: Building a Future Together. Registration is open and early bird rates apply through August 14.

This year the Ohio Conference on Freight and the Mid-America Freight Coalition join forces with the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and the Indiana Department of Transportation along with the Federal Highway Administration to offer a comprehensive forum addressing the freight and logistics industry in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and the 10-state mid-America freight region.

Among the opportunities and experiences at the 2015 Conference on Freight in September will be fun and educational tours:

Attendees who arrive on Monday, the day before major presentations begin, have the opportunity to join an Ohio River tour. Explore the revitalized downtown riverfronts of Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati and learn about the marine-based commerce in the greater Cincinnati region.
Attendees are invited to join a Cincinnati Brewery Tour Tuesday evening to explore Cincy Brewery District with colleagues and taste some fine craft beers. We’ll visit Taft Ale House and Rhinegeist.
Starting Tuesday night at 11:30 p.m., Visit DHL's America's hub facility at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport and see how this hub connects the U.S. to a global network spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas. This tour involves extensive walking up/down stairs and on catwalks and includes boarding a cargo aircraft. Comfortable walking shoes with closed heel and toes are required.
Following the keynote presentation on Wednesday, attendees can remain for the Inland Waterways Workshop. This program explores potential business opportunities along the Ohio River corridor. There will be a review of investment sites and discussion of policies and operations that support marine freight.

Some events have additional fees and some are open to non-conference participants. Get more information when you register for the conference. Conference details are at ohiofreight.org.

Key organizational support for the Conference on Freight is provided by the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments, the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments, and JobsOhio.
