May is Bike Month

Join TMACOG members and partners in a celebration of spring and active transportation in May. Bike Month invites experienced cyclists and those who aspire to ride more often to join in some of the planned activities. But before you ride, make sure your bike is roadworthy. Get an ABC Quickcheck at one of these local shops.

There are lots of bike paths and bike lanes on roadways in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. It is legal to ride on nearly every road; the exceptions are highways and some limited access roads like the Anthony Wayne Trail.

Plan ahead and you can even commute to work or school on a bike. Save money on gas and repairs, improve fitness, and be part of your neighborhood in a new way when you travel on a bike.
• Learn about area multi-use paths, signed bike routes, and plans for the Chessie   Circle Trail in Lucas and Wood counties.
• Meet people who can help build your biking confidence by joining in a group ride or   taking a class.
