KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr. Alexander Metcalf, PhD, President, Transportation Economics & Management Systems Inc. (TEMS), will talk about recent studies in passenger rail including a look at reviving rail connections between Toledo and Detroit and between Ann Arbor and Traverse City, Michigan.

DISCUSSION
A panel will discuss how improvements and expansion of all modes of the transportation system drive economic development. Panelists include Russ Mills, PhD, director of the Center for Regional Development at BGSU and the vice president of the Ohio Aviation Association; Joe Cappel, vice president business development, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority; and Kathy Sarli, director of planning, Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA).

CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
The agenda also include updates from Mike Gramza, P.E., Capital Programs administrator, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 2, Mike Pniewski, P.E., P.S., chief deputy engineer, Lucas County Engineer’s Office, David Dysard, adminstrator with the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities, and Tony Yacobucci, chief engineer, Ohio Turnpike. They will review current and planned roadway construction projects.
