Public Meetings for Local Transportation Funding Program



The TIP is the TMACOG Transportation Improvement Program, the short term (4-year) planning program that allocates federal funds to local governments in Lucas and Wood counties.

The fiscal year 2021 -2024 TIP will include approximately $396 million in programmed projects from all sources: $265 million in federal dollars, $52 million in state, and $72 million local.

See an interactive map of projects here that allows you to view individual projects and provide comments. Public comments are being solicited from March 30 through April 10. Stakeholders are also invited to attend one of the open house meetings to review the program, comment, and ask questions. The meetings are free and open to the public, no registration is required.

The TIP is ranked and scheduled by the TIP Committee based on community need, the value to the transportation system, and constrained by funds available. It includes diverse transportation modes: roads, bikeways, public transit, etc. The TIP will be voted on by the TIP Committee on March 23, by the Transportation Council on April 1, and by the Board of Trustees on April 15. If all goes according to schedule, the 2021-2024 TIP will be approved by the U.S. DOT on July 1, 2020 and become effective immediately.
