Update 2011: Potential Environmental Impacts of Plan Projects
What impacts could the proposed projects have on our natural and community environment? Should projects with severe impacts be included in the plan, deleted, or modified to reduce potential impacts?
To answer these questions, the TMACOG regional transportation planning process includes:
- Mapping the proposed projects against environmental and cultural resources
- Consulting with environmental agencies
- If necessary, modifying the draft plan based on comments and concerns
- Including in the final Plan a discussion of general mitigation practices that should be considered (see the 2035 Plan, Appendix E)
