A.   Where will people live and work? To decide where to invest in roads, paths, transit (buses), rail and all the transportation modes, we need to agree where the population and jobs will be over the next 30 years.

Population

TMACOG projects that the total population in our planning area (Lucas and Wood counties and southern Monroe County, Michigan) will stay about the same.  However, we project that population will keep shifting:

·  fewer people will live in the City of Toledo, and

·  more will live in Bowling Green and “suburban” areas around Toledo—including Perrysburg, Rossford, Oregon, Sylvania area, western Lucas County, Waterville/Whitehouse area, and Monroe County Michigan
