| Municipal Boundaries: This map shows municipal boundaries within and surrounding the TMACOG region of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. |
| TMACOG Planning Area: The TMACOG MPO (metropolitan planning organization) planning area includes all of Lucas and Wood counties in Ohio, and the townships of Whiteford, Bedford, and Erie in Monroe County, Michigan. The MPO planning area boundaries are established by each MPO according to the federal metropolitan planning regulations. |
| TMACOG Modeling Area: The TMACOG modeling area includes the same boundaries as the planning area with the addition of the western portions of Ottawa and Sandusky counties. This is the coverage area for the TMACOG travel demand model. A travel demand model uses socio-economic, demographic, land use, and transportation data to forecast the number and types of trips that will be generated in the future. The model produces output that can determine the efficiency of the proposed transportation network and how it will serve demand. |
