More than ever before, our highways and airports are under increasing pressure from heavy traffic, especially freight, with predictions for even greater levels of congestion. To help keep people and goods moving, the Ohio Rail Development Commission* developed the Ohio Hub plan as a strategy for improving freight rail operations (by upgrading the rail infrastructure) and introducing competitive higher speed passenger rail service in Ohio with links to Michigan and other adjoining states.
