Purpose: The Data & Modeling Committee is responsible for developing strategies and procedures for data collection and maintenance that will insure the information needed for modeling and planning studies is readily available.

Activities: This committee is in the process of collecting information regarding GIS metadata standards. A TMACOG standard will be developed which will enable preparation of a simple "catalog" of GIS data available at TMACOG and other agencies throughout the region.
