| Toledo Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA): Metropolitan statistical areas are used by government agencies in collecting, tabulating, and publishing socio-economic data. Each MSA consists of counties containing a core urban area with a population of 50,000 or more, as well as adjacent counties that have a high degree of social and economic integration with the urban core. |
| Toledo FHWA Urban Area: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) urban area (also known as the federal aid urbanized area) typically represents the U.S. Census defined urban area that has been revised and adjusted to smooth out geographic irregularities, maintain administrative continuity, and encompass fringe areas having residential, commercial, industrial, or national defense significance. |
