"If I carpool, what happens if I need to leave early or stay late?"

This is a common question from people who are considering carpooling or vanpooling. Commuter independence is one of the main reasons that people shy away from ridesharing. The perfect solution is the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program!

In the case of an emergency, the GRH Program will reimburse bus fare, a taxi ride, or car rental needed to get home. To be eligible you must be carpooling or vanpooling and be registered with Share A Ride. You must be at work when the emergency or schedule change occurs. The service is available up to four times per year and is free to commuters who live in Lucas, Wood and southern Monroe County in Michigan.

So if your children become sick or your boss asks you to work overtime, you will be covered!
