Railroads

Railroads are an important and integral part of our region’s intermodal transportation network. In fact, Toledo is one of the largest rail hubs in the U.S. TMACOG leads regional progress and did groundbreaking work in the state of Ohio by including rail issues in the transportation planning process under the TMACOG Freight Committee.

Projects from the State of Ohio's Railroad Grade Separation Program; also includes rail operators and rail traffic volumes.
Regional Train Frequency
The name of the rail company and the average number of trains per day. Rail corridors carrying passenger trains (Amtrak) are also indicated.
Rail Intersections and Grade Separations
Location of public and private rail-street crossings in the metropolitan area. Crossings that are grade-separated (overpass or underpass) are also indicated.
